Tour Plan:
Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Departure from the hotel in Marrakech:
- towards Ouarzazate via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260m altitude) and its magnificent panorama.
- Lunch in the oasis of Telouet visit of the Kasbah.
- Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage) and visit.
- Ouarzazate , visit of the cinema studios
- Dinner and night in a riad.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora
Breakfast, departure to the south:
- the Tizi n'Tinififft pass (1710m altitude) and the old caravan route linking Marrakech to Timbuktu.
- The mountains to Agdz
- Draa Valley with its (huge oasis of palm trees 200km long) and fortified villages.
- Zagora (last town before the desert)
- Visit of the Tamegroute craft workshops
- Dinner and night in a riad.
Day 3: Zagora – Alnif – Tazzarine – Rissani – Merzouga
After breakfast:
- departure to Merzouga and the dunes of Erg Chebbi (between desert and palm grove).
- Lunch in Alnif, (Berber village) with Possibility of having a guide to explore a quarry of fossils and meteorites.
- Rissani and visit of the mausoleum of moulay Ali Chérif
- Merzouga to arrive at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
- Dinner and night in an inn.
Day 4: Merzouga– Khamlia – Erg Chebbi Dunes
After breakfast :
- departure in the direction of the dunes by the track.
- The Erg (desert of dunes) and the Reg (desert of stones).
- Khamlia: Berber villages like Taramite: the opportunity to (get to know nomadic families).
- Khamlia, and music played by the Gnaoua.
- Return by camel to the heart of the desert and sunset.
- Berber dinner under the stars.
- Night under a Berber tent in Saharan silence.
Day 5: Dunes of Erg Chebbi – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Sunrise in the desert then breakfast:
- Erfoud known for its (fossils and marbles)
- Crossing the superb valley of Tafilalet (palm grove) and its ksour.
- Discovery of ancient irrigation systems called Khettara.
- The Todra gorges.
- Lunch and walk between the high cliffs.
- Tineghir to visit the Jewish quarter
- The Dades Gorges by
- Dinner and night in a riad.
Day 6: Dades Valley – El Kelaa M'gouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast:
- The Dades Valley
- the valley of roses by the trail of a thousand kasbahs. (Meeting with nomads)
- Lunch at El Kelaa M'gouna .
- Skoura (kasbahs and its lush palm grove).
- Ouarzazate.
- Dinner and night in a riad.
Day 7: Ouarzazate – Marrakesh
After breakfast:
- return to Marrakech via the Tizi n'Tichka pass
